I’m going to take a wild guess and say this guy hasn’t gotten any in a long time or ever for that matter. Go check him out so you can feel the real power.

Pardon me while I go pick my eye balls up off the floor they fell out while I was rolling then in a most serious *snort* manner

Robert, Robert, Robert you poor sad little thing.

I have previously blogged about the eagerly anticipated finale to the Dean Koontz Frankenstein series.

I like many other Dean Koontz fans had been going crazy wondering when the book would come out and put us out of out misery. Both the first and second books in the series had major cliff hangers that to leave a fan hanging like that was just cruel. But clearly good writing also to have us bouncing off the walls like that.

Well I finally got my copy from the library and finished the book this last week. I’ll be the first to admit that I am a biased Dean Koontz fan as I love all his work that I’ve read. Some more than others for sure but still I love them all. This last one I did not feel was his best work as I had wanted more from the story. Perhaps it is simply that I have been waiting so long that I had these astronomical expectations.

The characters were wonderful and after three books fleshed out for sure but I think the story was less then it could have been. What to change well I would have expected more bang for the buck it seemed less then it could have been. More fireworks, more action just -well more.
Whatever the reason having said that I still loved it.

A previous post will provide an example of why. The thing that I love in Koontz’s work is the wit and humor. His characters interact the way I would want to have a conversation. It’s like yes this is the way I converse. Or would if I met someone as witty as me. Hmm did I just say that?

I do love Koontz and his character development but the bad guys tend to be similar and the good guys practically walk on water. Some irks but I always look forward to his newest release.

The premise of the book is basically the Koontz version of Frankenstein. I do recommend but it has to be read from the start with book one.
Frankenstein : Dean and Alive by Dean Koontz is out in soft cover. None of the Frankenstein series is out in Hardcover so a perfect book to read on the train or long commute to make the ride much shorter.

Ok I had to title it Nut Clusters for Drollgirl. Belive it or not when writing the previous post all I kept thinking is I must list the flavors of my nuts. Yep dirty minds think alike girl.

But to get back to the actual nut clusters *hehe* Ok that was the last one.
I went today and stocked up with enough nuts to ( ok who am I kidding just insert dirty jokes with all nut cluster mentions ) last a life time. I had 10 coupons from General Mills. Plus another I printed off the site not to mention a couple of $1 coupons that I had any way for here it comes – Nut Clusters. Not to mention all the coupons that I had for other goodies granola bars, cereal, kit kats yep the essentials.

When I went to the self check out which I prefer a girl who knows me as I’m at this grocery store like every day or every other day. It’s just a 5 minute walk from me. So she spots me with coupons and asks for the ones printed off the net so I hand them to her thinking well she’ll put them through over where she is so it will go quicker. No such luck. She goes to the customer service counter with a manager and for I don’t know how long they are discussing the coupons, while I’m standing there like an idiot waiting on them.

Finally they come over and the guy says you can only use one coupon per bag of Nut Clusters. I look at him like he’s out of his mind. Now I know that the reason is that some photo copy coupons and scam the stores which really sucks for people like me but I’m not stupid yes of course it say one coupon per bag so that’s what I want. I tell him so and he’s like if you have 12 bags you can only use 12 coupons. No shit Sherlock. I know that. I tell him that what I had in mind. He’s like your not getting it you can’t use the $1 coupon and the $1.60 coupon on one bag I tell him I get it I’m not trying to scam anyone I will use only one coupons per bag.

He finally left and I proceed to scan my coupons. They all go through and at the end it says it needs store approval. She comes over and says she can’t approve it as he came over and told me what was allowed and what wasn’t. I told her no he said I could only use one coupon per item which is what I did. So she opens that thing that holds the coupons. Lines up all my items and places each coupon by the item. Lo and behold not only did I have one coupon per item but also I had one extra bag of Nut Clusters minus the coupon. So while that was not fun not getting the items even cheaper but any way natually after all the hoopla I got the go ahead.

Man I hate the people who cheat and screw me over. But in the end it was worth it because I saved 95% I paid $4.34 for 2 boxes of cereal which if on sale is about what the 4 bucks and change would have gotten me. I also got 3 kitkats 1 box of caprisun 2 snapples and about 4 granola bars and 14 bags of Nut Clusters. So proud of myself I do believe that was the best I’ve even done and doubt I will top it. Plus I did it without copying coupons, cheating or any other bullshit method.

So yay for me and my tasty, tasty nuts : )

I love freebies. I sign up to win books online. I print coupons and aim to get super bargains. It’s awesome when I get a product for free. I sign up for samples all the time. Today I received a sample for shampoo and conditioner plus three cereals with coupons. Always makes me happy when something comes in the mail that isn’t a bill. Who doesn’t love that?

So one of the places I’ve signed up which is with General Mills who from time to time send out goodies to try in the hopes you’ll tell friends and basically love the product and tell all you know about it.

Well I received the other day a bag of Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters along with a ton of coupons.
They come is Roasted Almonds, Roasted Cashews, Honey Roasted Peanut and the one I received Nut Lovers.
I took these out of the bag in the hopes to try. While out a friend came over who proceeded to devour the entire bag. I happen to be out grocery shopping when this happened and what should I have with me but a $1 coupon for said yummy product. Being on sale buy 4 mix and match with other items it was $1.50 I needed one other item anyway so I got it and for 50 cents I wasn’t going to leave it. Not to mention that if I’m going to try the product the way I signed up and agreed to do well then for the greater good I need many, many samples. Really *cough* really. For the greater good.

Yeah, yeah ok I just wanted to scarf it all down but they are yummy and I really do want to be the good little reviewer with these and books so my blog will have actual content. Not just endless rambling and random thoughts of mine.

The best part the coupons General Mills sent is for $1.60 and with the current sale these tasty treats will be free. Yep free my favorite word. So I’ll be heading out to the grocery store and stocking up as I found some awesome coupons online in addition. With my grocery store fun yesterday saving 70% I’m quite proud of myself. The upcoming buy I have planned should be even more fun.

The great site I joined pssst.generalmills.com will be getting quite the review from me on the Nut Cluster goodies once they ask me for it. My family loves the Nature Valley granola bars as is, I think we have a new fav.
