So who’s read Scott Sigler? I think not 100% sure but I think I first noticed Sigler’s book Infected for the first time on bookgasm.com A book’s cover will often be the reason I pick it up and Infected sure has one hell of a cover. Blue triangle eye hard not to notice.

I loved the book and as soon as it was available I devoured the sequel Contagious. Essentially it is about alien invasion. Take over a planet by infecting it and how do they do that but sending out blue seeds that land on us lucky humans and then well bad things happen.

The characters are awesome especially Perry Dawsey I loved this characters balls. The shock and disgust he displays that another character “Fatty Patty” ( the scenes with them together are so fucking cool it will knock your socks off) that she doesn’t fight back says a lot about him. How he goes about exacting revenge upon these “things” that are taking his body. Outstanding, awesome really, all I can do is gush at the character the writing is so good and it is certain bits that when you read you are amazed that someone wrote them.

Your left entertained and grossed out all at once as you read about Perry stabbing one of the triangles keeping in mind they are in his flesh. Man he hates these things and they hate him right back which is why calling someone Son-of-a-Bitch will take on new meaning for you. It has for me I now picture little blue triangle swearing at me in my head.

Sigler is a cool writer with an excellent imagination and an ability to hook you till you beg for more which is why I wanted the sequel so bad. I look forward to his new books as I am now a dedicated Sigler fan girl.

So much so that I have recommended this book to two people already. One I borrowed from the library for a friend they got evicted though so the book is locked inside with no way to get to it. I’ll have to buy a copy not that I can afford it but better then library fines and I for sure don’t want to deny anyone Sigler.

The other working at a hotel you meet lots of people and get to chatting about all kinds of things, books being one. As soon as I mentioned Infected to one regular who comes in from time to time he said he would go out and buy a copy asap. My boss’s brother who is technically my other boss is someone I am waiting to come by as the last time I saw him we got to chat about books and after he left all I could think was what book’s I should have recommended to him. Sigler’s will be one.
Now that I have a blog I guess I can recommend Infected to even more people.

So anyone who reads this and is looking for an awesome read.
