Monthly Archives: May 2011

As mentioned in a previous post I’ve had some very interesting keyword searches bring people to my blog.

I’ve had some good ones this last week so I thought I’d share some and please share your own, I’m curious.

Horny drunk guys

herehairy…com…0…0     Not sure the reason for this one or why anyone would search for this. The fact that I’m ranked 8th on google for herehairy…com…0…0 is very disturbing.

toysforsex  I’m hoping people are finding the giveaway

Truddi chase 2011  and   As Rabbit Howls by Truddi Chase  and  when rabbit howls truddi chase read online   I get a lot of searches for Truddi Chase or When Rabbit Howls

horse “tail where his head should be”     Yeah okay then. Pretty sure the Teaser Tuesday for Water For Elephants is responsible for bringing this person here but by the look of the search Water For Elephants was not their search focus  so I have no clue what the hell they are after.

http://jess-vents.blogspot.com/    I guess they couldn’t find the address bar. But they found me anyway so success lol

Ok everyone else’s turn what wonderful searches have brought people to your blog?

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
I’m reading The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest by Stieg Larsson. I’m glad to be on the last book of the Millennium series finally as I’m dying to know how it ends.
Salander read his letter twice, staring in bewilderment at the Palm. After a period of computer celibacy, she was suffering from massive cyber-abstinence.And she wondered which big toe Blomkvist had been thinking with when he smuggled her a computer but forgot that she needed a mobile to connect to the Net.
She was still thinking when she heard footsteps in the corridor.

  1. Grab the banner (That cute thing at the top)
  2. Post about reviews, giveaways, or what ever you have going on/ coming up.
  3. OR if you don’t have any/ don’t do those things, then answer the question below…
  4. Or do both

Question of the week: Would you ever have sex on a surface that you use everyday, for example Kitchen table?

Of course aren’t you meant to have sex on the surface of everything in your house? Not to mention on every square inch of carpet, every chair, sofa, throw pillow, blanket etc etc etc.
Perhaps it’s just me who thinks so, course I haven’t but yes I would. So who wants to come over for dinner?

Coming up for the week : Teaser Tuesday, hopefully a review, the ToysforSex.co giveaway will end on the fourth and last but not least on the 2nd I’m participating in another hop.

Found this interesting questionnaire at At Random who found it herself at another blog  Wall-To-Wall Books

These are some questions for book bloggers and book blog visitors I have been wondering about. I have posted my answers and encourage you to either – answer them in the comments or – Post them on your blog and leave me the link in the comments.

1. How often do you post and how often do you visit other blogs?
I visit other blogs everyday, not easy to do time wise not to mention all the blogs I follow getting through my feed is a labor of love or insanity one of the two, more like both.  I post as often as I can, I have my memes that I participate in and then my occasional reviews not to mention other things that pop up from time to time.

2. Do you always comment, or do you only comment when there is a contest?
I don’t only post at contests, though I don’t post if I have nothing to say I mean yay a book is hardly worth commenting.  I want to make sure the blog owner knows I visit though I for one would love more comments ( HINT )

3. When you “follow” a blog, do you always go back and visit or are there some that you only followed for a contest?
I don’t follow just for a giveaway okay I have but not anymore. I will follow sometimes if  ”required” to make sure I can enter but I do this with blogs that interest me. I personally don’t think making following a requirement is good for the simple reason that people will do it just till the giveaway then abandon ship I want people to follow my blog sure but only if they actually want to and plan on coming back because they like what they see and read.

4. How often do you enter book giveaways?

Ah is everyday a bad thing? I can’t help it, the chance to win books is addictive.

5. How long have you been blogging?
Wow not sure about 2 years now. Though really focused on it last 6 months before that I just meandered a lot and in the beginning it was mostly a place for me to bitch and complain about my personal issues so embarrassing.  But now I’m a better blogger, reviewer and more focused on the book and toy and occasional other items I review.
Must improve a great deal still.

6. Do you have book giveaways, how often, and why do you do it?
Yes I have giveaways. I’m on my 3rd hop and joined that as I figured I wouldn’t have to do anything as to getting the word out. How right I was on that.  The hops are a great way to get your blog noticed. My followers and visitors shot way up.
I don’t do it often but sending a book via media mail isn’t going to kill me so whenever I feel like it really. I do it to get some room on my shelves. I used to hang on to every last book I had now I know I really need to let go and with all the books I get I would be stupid not to share the awesomeness.

7. What other booky sites do you belong to?
Goodreads,Shelfari and paperbackswap. Any suggestions to others I’m all ears :)   Edited to add I just signed up for FictFact thanks At Random
8. How often do you use “Bookish Memes”?
Well Teaser Tuesday and In My Mailbox are a must. I do these two every week I can or when I don’t forget lol.  Don’t participate in others but if I find one out there I like I’d jump on it.

9. What do you like or dislike about some blogs?

I honestly couldn’t say what it is about some blogs I like it’s just like asking why you like someone or why a food is your fav because it just works for you. But yes I do  have my favorites that I love. Mostly content that I like, the writing of the blogger and look of the blog.
I don’t like some blogs for the opposite reasons as above I don’t like the look, content or writing of a blogger. If a blogger writes about books I don’t care for then that blog will not get a return visit for obvious reasons. I also don’t like when a blog is hard to read.

10. Have you gotten close to any bloggers, just through blogging?
Well idk how close “close” is. But have I made friends online?. Lets’s see do I have online friends who I wanna hug till they turn blue as a smurf, yes so you could say that is close. I bet they are all glad they live far away from me now, you know who you are.

OK now its your turn – time to speak your mind!
