Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

Redheart is free today and tomorrow. It’s the first book I ever reviewed for Seventh Star Press and that was the start of a beautiful friendship. It’s a great YA fantasy read with dragons and excellent story. Total must read be sure to check it out.

I’m reading Double Dead by Chuck Wendig who is so cool and awesome. As I am literally just starting this here are the opening lines.

The blood crawled through tight channels and shunted cracks like a rat in a maze. It descended through shattered concrete. It crept down a length of rusty pipe.

  8. That’s an awful lot of blood.

  9. Tell Chuck Wendig that if he sends me a free book, it’ll be a slam dunk for a good review. That opening line is totally tits.

    Sorry. Another South Park reference just slipped out. But seriously, I’m in love with that zombie book. Hell, I’m in love with just about all zombie books. Except maybe The Mammoth Book of Zombies. That book was totally pants.

    Ha. See that? I’ve been in the UK too long. British slang is starting to creep into my vernacular.

    Oh, and as to your comment on my latest–thank you madam! If you ever need some filler for a guest post, you know who to call. 😉
