Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

My teaser is from Lakesbridge Spring by Natasha Troop, the first in a four part series. I have books one and two in the series. Three and four are yet to be released. I’m very excited though because I’ve only just started the book and it is fantastic. I love the way the author writes such great flow, easy to read and yet taking something as simple as a moose crossing a road and the most fascinating insightful chapter comes along. Here is a teaser from page 3.

This great book is only 99cents on amazon for kindle. Can you say bargain? The Cabin Goddess is giving away books one and two in the series as part of the indie hop ends today so go quickly and get those entries in.

The moose watched the man with the axe walk by through the mist and thought it a good sign that he did not stop and stare or try and approach him. So long as the man did not come near the moose, the moose had no plans to come near the man.

  12. Hi Jess,

    I just can’t make my mind up about this series, despite the authors great website and your descriptive teaser lines, which need me wanting to know where this man is going and why he needs an axe …. Is he simply going to chop wood, or does he have something much more sinsiter in mind?

    I think that part of the problem with this book, is the cover. I find it really off-putting for some reason and I feel the same way about the second book in the series.
    I know that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but I just can’t help it for some reason.

    I hope that you enjoy both books and don’t have to wait too long for book three to appear.
