If you’ve checked the sidebar in the last few days you may have noticed that feedburner dropped off to zero. Fluctuation has happened but a total flatline is new. I’ve done some research and it appears that lots of blogs have had this issue. Everyone should still be subscribed my numbers just dropped off, google wants everyone to use google reader and will get rid of feedburner near the end of October as I understand it. I follow blogs by email so no clue if I’ll be getting these but will add new blogs I follow to google reader here and there when I have a few minutes.

I’ve added Feedcat myself to the sidebar it has email and RSS follow as I can see and is free which with my budget right now is the most important thing. I’m also trying to figure out Mailchimp and could add that once I know how to make it work.

The super huge news I have is going to change things on the blog a little but while I’m not going away there will be a temporary pause on here.

I’m moving overseas. I’m originally from Australia and while that’s not a big secret I tend to be TMI so I’ve kept it to myself. Kinda like my own secret. On October 31st I’ll be moving back home permanently.

For at least 2 weeks I should be offline though it could be more, it all depends on how quickly I can get internet access set up. I hope to have a few post scheduled but that’s a bit wait and see.

Even near the end of October I’ll be a bit distracted so I can’t say for sure how many post I’ll have then. It’s part of the reason I’ve been reviewing less and have not accepting anything new in my review policy. That will change but I have been very distracted over the summer.

I’m pretty much going to be out of the loop for a month I’d say.

As for the blog nothing will change aside from being quiet for a while while I get settled. I’ll have way more international giveaways obviously which will be nice for those international readers who’ve missed out. Other than more book depository giveaways the changes will be minor. Obviously being 16 hours in the future my posting time will change but that should cover it.

I hope to share about some Australian and New Zealand authors along with comparing the lovely US and Australia covers for many books. All in all not a ton of changes but I will be farther away so sadly less chance of me meeting the bloggers I’d like which bums me out. Though I’d love to meet some Australian bloggers and now will need to make some contacts in Australia with some publishers. I’ll see how that goes as I’m not sure how many publishers and authors will be willing to mail me a copy of their book from here in the states all the way over there.

So yeah that’s my news. Surprise!
