After reading The Girl With All The Gifts I jumped on the chance to get a review copy, my thanks to Hachette for indulging me. This book while well written in nothing like the authors previous book.
Here the writing had me mesmerised and while I enjoyed the story with varying elements of supernatural, court room drama, and mystery among others the story had a tendency to peak and valley with pacing. At times I could not put the book down and others it slowly plodded along and the excellent writing is what kept me going. I highly enjoyed this book despite some moments of not being quite as good as it could have. I would rate this one 3.5 stars
The unmissable and highly anticipated new literary thriller from the author of the international phenomenon The Girl With All the Gifts.
Fellside is a maximum security prison on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors. It’s not the kind of place you’d want to end up. But it’s where Jess Moulson could be spending the rest of her life.
It’s a place where even the walls whisper.
And one voice belongs to a little boy with a message for Jess.
Will she listen?
